Highlights: The Asian American Coalition of Chicago proudly hosted the 1998 Candidates Forum, the first of its kind on a grand scale in Chicagoland. With AACC as an umbrella organization, the bipartisan event was sponsored by 35 different community organizations. All candidates for U.S. Senate, State Constitutional Offices, and Cook County Board President were invited. A seven-member community panel addressed the candidates on various issues of importance to the Asian American community. Voter registrations also took place on site.
